Immersive experience through perfect lighting on the Baltic Queen Ferry

M/S Baltic Queen is one of the most modern ships in the Silja Line. The ferry delivers high standards including a large selection of luxury cabin accommodation, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, a shopping area, children’s play area, an excellent sauna department, a modern conference room, and onboard entertainment. The entertainment part of the ferry plays a very important role in the seasonal cruises and perfect alignment to today's energy requirements was a must.

Project Challenge

In 2018, the ferry had to meet an ambitious goal - to change all the different types of bulbs to LEDs. During the installation process for the LED’s in the Disco Area, where the need to upgrade was very high, the upgrading of the existing lighting control system which was not compatible with LED bulbs.

The Solution

The old lighting system has been dismounted and Vantage lighting was installed instead. The solution was also required to offer a high level of distribution without taking up valuable real estate with controls. The combination of functionality and simplicity Vantage was able to provide has exceeded the team's expectations. The ferry's entertainment area lighting control performs flawlessly, creating a unique user experience for the guests.
